Albertsons’ Liquidation starts today

Hey Guys,
I am not sure about all the Albertsons that were bought out by Publix, but the one at the corner of West Bay and Indian Rocks Rd started its liquidation today with 20% off Everything. I will be going later today andan going to stock up on some non-perishables like peanut butter, cleaning agents, laundry detergent and the like.
Let me know if your Albertsons in your area is on the same path.

I am sure most of you are aware of this, but I thought I’d mention it just in case. I have a family of 6, so our food bills are quite high. One thing we have found to save money on is breakfast. With 4 boys, who always seem to be hungry, a substantial breakfast is important. We started buying cream of wheat and grits. ALL of our boys love these. With a little sugar and butter and a piece of toast, we are set. And, it fills them up so I don’t hear “I’m hungry” 30 minutes later. We’ve had a box of cream of wheat last us for a couple of weeks now, and for the price I paid, it has been well worth it!

I guess since some of the Albertsons have been bought by Publix, Winn-Dixie has decided to try to capture some of their loyal customers. We received a flyer in the mail (so I don’t know who will receive it) with 2 coupons for $5 off purchase of $40 or more. Annd 2 coupons for $2 of 8 piece chicken. They also made sure to note that they are running BOGO free offers and 10 for $10 deals. For those of us who are upset by this buyout, this may soften the blow a little. The coupons are good for consecutive weeks ending 8/12.

I just got a $843.00 refund check from my insurance company. I was hesitant at first, but the money back guarantee on their wind inspections kicked me over the edge. Better in my pocket than my insurance companies!!!

Walgreens has some good deals for back to school. Most require the coupon in the flyer. folders $.05, mechanical pencils – $.05, composition books -$.05, highlighters – $.05. They also have their backpacks buy 1 get one free (ones priced 19.99). I did this last year and they did last through the entire year (although quite worn and battered).
These sales run through Sat. 26th. Check with your child’s school for supply lists.
